A man was arrested for trying to rob an employee of American Airlines with a pair of scissors.

The man borrowed the pair of scissors from the employee at O’Hare Airport in Chicago, Illinois, and then tried to attack her.

Edwin Sanchez of Washington D.C., asked the 55-year-old woman, who works at the check-in counter for American Airlines, for scissors.

After getting his hands on the scissors, he jumped on the counter and demanded cash. Before she can hand over the cash, police quickly arrested him and no one was injured.

Once handcuffed, Sanchez told the police that he planned the heist because “American Airlines has a lot of money.”

Sanchez also told police that he did not plan on using the scissors to hurt anyone, but he would have punched the employee if she had no money.

Sanchez was charged with attempted armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and is being held on $50,000 bail.
