(Scroll down for video) A priest who became angry with a young boy because he is a Dallas Cowboys fan, threatened him with a gun, police in New Jersey said.
Bergen County police said that they have arrested 54-year-old Kevin Carter, a priest at the St. Margaret of Cortona Roman Catholic church, after being accused of threatening the 8-year-old boy with a gun.
According to the police investigation, Carter is a fan of the New York Giants and was unhappy that the boy was supporting the Dallas Cowboys.
Carter ordered the boy to stand against a wall before pointing the gun at him. As he raised the gun he threatened to kill the boy, police said.
Carter was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated assault. When police searched the room where the incident took place, they found a gun with ammunition.
Carter was booked into jail and his bail was set at $15,000.
