Two brothers of were sentenced to 9 life terms in prison for sexually assaulting 2 women in Florida.
The brothers were arrested after officers responded to the Motel 6 on Dix Ellis Trail in Jacksonville, on a report of a fire.
When police arrived, they found three injured victims, one of whom had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
People said that two women came to hang out with Donald Jerome Dickerson, 34, at the motel room.
At some point, his brother, James Lamont Dickerson, 32, arrived at the motel room, pulled a gun and ordered the two female victims to take their clothes off.
He forced one of the victims to tie up the other with bedsheets before he tied her up and raped both of the women multiple times. During the crime, Donald assisted his brother with the assault.
When a man showed up to hang out at the motel room, he was forced inside at gunpoint, tied up and ordered not to move while the brothers continued raping the female victims.
When one of the victims tried to fight back. She was shot in the head. The defendants then stole $400 and car keys, set the room on fire and fled the scene in one of the victims’ vehicles.
The male victim along with the help of a good Samaritan, managed to save the two female victims and brought them to safety.
The female victim who sustained the gunshot wound, survived the shooting, but she is now blind.
Donald and James were both sentenced on Thursday, to nine life terms in prison plus ten years in prison for their convictions of two counts of attempted murder, attempted manslaughter, kidnapping with a weapon, sexual battery with great force, armed robbery and arson.
