A man was arrested on a charge of attempted kidnapping after allegedly attacking a woman with a cattle prod in an attempt to kidnap her, police in Maine said.
The York County Sheriff’s Office said that they arrested 48-year-old Christopher Hall, after being accused of shocking the woman on Thursday night, as she was on her way to meet a client.
Hall was charged with assault and attempted kidnapping.
He was booked into the York County Jail, and her bail was set at $15,000.
According to the police investigation, the woman, who works as an attorney and a professional mediator for the state court system, was on her way to a client’s house when Hall assaulted her.
Hall shocked her with the cattle prod between her legs and put his hands over her mouth. She fought back and pulled off his wig.
Hall fled to his car and drove off. The woman was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released. The attorney had worked in a child custody case involving Hall.
