A man was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly stabbing a boy with an umbrella because he touched his shoulder, police in Japan said.
Chiba police said that they have arrested 40-year-old Manabu Sakuraba, after being accused of stabbing the 16-year-old boy in the neck because he accidentally touched him.
According to the police investigation, the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. During questioning, Sakuraba told the police that he was angry with the boy because he brushed against his shoulder.
The child was taken to a hospital as he was bleeding from the neck. Doctors said that the injury will take about three weeks to heal.
Sakuraba was caught after police reviewed surveillance video from the street.
