A woman beat up a day care worker who refused to hand over children to their father who was drunk.

Police in Lake County, Montana, arrested a man and a woman in connection with the incident at the day care center.

Martha McClure was caring for the three children of Francis Joseph Jackson, at her day care in Ronan, when he showed up with his girlfriend, Tashiana Schlensker, 21.

The father demanded McClure hand over his 3 children, who are all under the age of 4. However, McClure said that he smelled of alcohol, and she refused to hand them over.

McClure also knew that Child Protective Services had suspended Jackson’s parental rights and he was not allowed to have contact with them.

She refused to hand over the children and managed to get Jackson out of the day care center. The man then began throwing toys into the room in an attempt to get back inside.

When McClure walked outside to speak with Jackson, his girlfriend began viciously beating McClure with a shovel.

McClure was badly injured and needed surgery on her eyes.

Jackson was arrested, and he faces an aggravated burglary charge. His girlfriend remained at large and later turned herself into police. She is facing a charge of assault with a weapon.
