(Scroll down for video) A man was detained by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) at the Los Angeles International Airport, after allegedly choking a woman who was seating in front of him on an airplane, because she reclined her seat.

The Southwest Airlines flight that left Los Angeles for San Francisco, returned to the airport shortly after takeoff due to a fight between the man and the woman.

The pilot of Flight 2010 said that he decided to return to the airport because of the rapid escalation of the situation culminating in a physical altercation by one person against another.

The man and the woman were not traveling together.

According to passengers on the plane, the woman was screaming that the man grabbed her neck and choked her. He then hit her head.

The flight left the airport around an hour late. There were 137 passengers aboard the plane. The remaining passengers boarded another plane, which left for San Francisco International Airport.
