Man kills grandmother for blowing her nose at dinner table

(Scroll down for video) A man was disgusted to see his grandmother blowing her nose at the dinner table.

Police arrested Timothy Robert Steele of Minnesota, for beating his grandmother to death with a hammer.

He told police that he attacked the 84-year-old victim because she blew her nose at the table, according to a criminal complaint.

Steele, 35, was charged with second-degree murder for the killing that took place at his home in Farmington.

Steele's mother, who is the daughter of the victim, called the police. When officers arrived, they found Steele sitting on a couch in the living room.

When asked what was going on, Steele calmly told police: “I killed my grandmother.” After being read his rights, Steele told officers that he was “upset that the victim blew her nose at the dinner table.”

“The defended reported that he became fixated on the feeling of mucus in his mouth and he could smell it because the victim had blown her nose at the dinner table,” police wrote in the report.

After dinner when his grandmother went to her room, Steele took a hammer and repeatedly beat her on the right side of the head.

Steele was arrested and his bail was set at $750,000. He faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted.
