Several women in Syria, were sentenced to receive lashes after being convicted of theft for trying to retrieve their belongings that were stolen by ISIS fighters.
The four women were publicly flogged after they were caught entering their own homes, where they attempted to remove their belongings.
The public flogging was carried out in Deir Ezzor.
A large crowd of people watched as the four women, who were dressed in full black robes, were ordered to bend over for the flogging.
The women were forced to hold up a large banner with the criminal conviction written on it. The judge used a whip to hit the back of every woman thirty times before being allowed to leave.
