(Scroll down for video) Four people were arrested on a charge of manslaughter after allegedly beating a tourist to death because he refused to purchase an item at a jewelry shop, police in China said.
Hong Kong police said that the man identified as Miao of Heilongjiang, was killed at a shopping mall, following a dispute over making a purchase.
According to the police investigation, Miao, 54, refused to make a purchase at the D2 Jewelry shop and argued about it with the leader of his tour group.
According to some members of the tour group, a crowd dragged Miao out of the store and beat him violently. The victim was found unconscious when the police arrived.
So far, four people have been arrested in connection with the case. One witness also said that the items for sale at D2 Jewelry is priced about 8 times the market price.
Another witness said that your guides regularly harass customers into buying jewelry at the shop.
