(Scroll down for video) 3-year-old twin boys are in the custody of Child Protective Services after they were placed in harm’s way by their mother.
Police in Oklahoma, said that one of the 3-year-old boys got behind the wheel of a pickup truck and drove it through a four-lane highway after their mother, who was drunk, fell out from it.
33-year-old Taloa Foster was arrested for endangering her children after being suspected of drunk driving.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested Foster, after witnesses saw her falling out of her truck on a rural road near Oklahoma City.
The 3-year-old twins were in the truck, and one of the boys got behind the wheel and drove the truck about three blocks through the four lane highway before crashing in an embankment, police said.
The mother told police that her son unbuckled his seatbelt and she fell out of the truck while trying to buckle his seatbelt.
The children were not injured in the incident, and were placed in state custody, police said.
The Pontotoc County District Attorney filed a child endangerment charge against Foster for driving under the influence with the children in the vehicle.
