A family in Germany, was became worried as their cat had gone missing.

However, when the cat finally returned home after 7 weeks, it needed urgent medical attention after drinking too much wine.

The six-year-old Turkish Angora, went out on its daily walk in Wurselen. “The cat always came home at noon,” the cat’s owner, Claudia von Buren, said.

However, one day, the cat did not return home and the owner could not find it. Von Buren handed out 150 flyers with a picture of Aljosha, but to no avail.

Seven weeks later, the cat came home looking very sick. The cat was taken to a veterinarian, and it was found to have severe alcohol poisoning.

Aljosha had found its way into the cellar of a neighbor’s house and managed to break three bottles of alcohol.

The cat licked the alcohol and became drunk, suffering severe poisoning. Aljosha was on a IV for three days, before being healthy enough to return home.

Von Buren said that now, Aljosha refuses to drink water for fear that it might be white wine.
