(Scroll down for video) An elderly man was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly shooting his neighbor twice because his dog urinated on a yellow pole, police in Texas said.
Polk County police said that hey have arrested 74-year-old Conrad Peak, after being accused of shooting Lynn Langley, who walked his dog near his home.
Peak was charged with one count of aggravated assault. He was booked into the Polk County jail, and his bail was set at $10,000.
According to the police investigation, Langley was walking his dog near the suspect’s home when the dog urinated on a yellow pole.
Peak got angry, and he grabbed a gun and shot Langley in the torso.
Langley collapsed and was flown by paramedics to the Conroe Regional Medical Center, where he is said to be in serious condition.
Peak claimed that Langley pushed him first, and he shot him in self defense.
