A hospital patient in the United Kingdom, is preparing to take legal action after being covered in human waste while lying in bed at the emergency unit.
The 51-year-old man of West Bergholt, who was not identified, was brought to the Colchester General Hospital, suffering of a serious case of deep vein thrombosis.
On Monday, the patient saw water running down the wall and within ten minutes the roof collapsed. Human waste went everywhere, including the computers and monitors.
Officials of the hospital apologized for the incident.
Investigators believe that the drain pipe burst while it was being cleaned. Hospital employees acted immediately to address and help the patient who was covered in human waste.
After the incident, the leak was repaired and the area was deep cleaned.
