A man named Indiana Jones, was arrested on a charge of evading police after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase, police in New York said.
Finger Lakes police said that they have arrested 21-year-old Indiana Z. Jones, after being accused of violating traffic rules on Sunday night.
Jones was charged with illegally fleeing a police officer, driving an uninspected and unregistered vehicle, reckless operation of a vehicle and obstruction of governmental administration.
Jones was booked into the Yates County Jail, and his bail was set at $1,000. According to the police investigation, Jones tried to evade a traffic stop around 11:00 p.m. in Rushville.
He began speeding away from police officers in his 2002 Audi A6, exceeding 100 miles per hour. Police officers used a device designed to deflate tires in order to stop Jones on State Route 364 in Benton.
