(Scroll down for video) A man died in a horrific car crash after speeding while passing cars on the shoulder.
20-year-old Richard Pananian of Burbank, California, was thrown from his car and landed on an overhead exit ramp sign.
Pananian crashed his car and it rolled over a number of times before he was ejected from the vehicle.
He was passing other vehicles on the right shoulder of Interstate 5 before losing control.
Pananian was launched more than 20 feet in the air and was found on a sign, alerting drivers to the Colorado Street exit. He was pronounced dead by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
Police said that Pananian was speeding and he did not wear his seatbelt at the time of the accident, which occurred about 7:00 a.m.
Pananian worked at an automobile sales company in Van Nuys, called L.A. Autostore. May he rest in peace.
