(Scroll down for video) A police officer was left handicapped following an incident in which he crashed his car after leaving a bar, killing 2 of his friends and injuring another.

Now, the defense attorney for the wheelchair bound former officer said that he might have been drugged by strippers.

28-year-old Pedro Abad, a police officer of Linden, New Jersey, crashed into a tractor-trailer on the West Shore Expressway, after he and his friends left a strip club in New York.

Abad was intoxicated when he drove into an oncoming tractor trailer after leaving the Curves strip club in Staten Island about 5:00 a.m.

Two of his passengers, Frank Viggiano, who was also a police officer, and Joseph Rodriguez, both 28, died of their injuries. Abad and Linden Police Officer Patrik Kudlac, 23, were badly hurt.

Defense Attorney Mario Gallucci asked Staten Island Supreme Court Judge Stephen Rooney for access to blood samples from Abad, which were taken after the accident.

Tests showed that Abad’s blood alcohol content was 0.24 while the legal limit in New York is 0.08. Hours before the wrong-way crash, Abad had posted a photo to his Instagram page, showing three shot glasses filled with what he identified as Jack Daniel’s alcohol.

Gallucci claimed that a medical expert found some evidence that could be interpreted as meaning that Abad was drugged with a date rape drug.

In another case, strippers of Scores in New York, were arrested for drugging rich clients with date rape drugs and running up huge charges on their credit cards.

Gallucci believes that his client may have been a victim of the same scam. However, Abad had 2 previous convictions of drunk driving.

Curves manager Tom From, called the claims ridiculous, and said: “Scores gets millionaires, we get blue collar guys, no one is spiking drinks here, period.”
