A boy was rushed to a hospital after slashing his neck while riding a bike on the street, police in Australia said.
12-year-old Devon Davies of Ballarat, was riding his BMX with his mother and brother on Tuesday, when he was knocked off it after coming into contact with a thin piece of rope tied between two trees.
The rope was tied to the trees by pranksters.
Davies was bleeding from his neck and his father, Jason, took him to a hospital, where he was examined by doctors who fitted him with a neck brace.
He was also treated for a laceration on his neck. Jason uploaded the photo of his son’s injury on social media websites, where people condemned the stupid pranksters.
Devon’s mother reported the incident to the police, but so far, no arrests have been made. Police urged anyone with information to call the nearest police station.
