(Scroll down for video) A woman learned that hard way that not all of her Facebook friends are real friends.
The woman was thrilled when she won $816 at a horse race.
She took a selfie with her winning ticket and published it to Facebook.
When the woman, who was identified as Chantelle of Perth, Australia, went to collect the money 15 minutes later, she was told that someone had already claimed it.
Chantelle, who had never placed a horse bet before, went to the race with 2 of her friends and placed a $20 bet on a horse named Prince of Penzance at the Melbourne Cup horse racing.
When she won, she excitedly shared the selfie of herself with the winning ticket on her Facebook page. Chantelle said that she was unaware of the fact that the barcode of the ticket can be used at an automated machine to claim the cash.
Chantelle later posted a message to the thief saying: “To the low life who is obviously is my friend on Facebook and used my photo to claim the winnings. You’re a massive d***. You ruined my day.”
