A young woman in Colombia, was hospitalized after crashing and landing a car in the sea.
The woman was taking driving lessons in San Andres, when she drove into the water.
Sadly, the driving instructor drowned after the student lost control of the car and landed in the sea. The student survived after being pulled from the choppy waters by police who were near the crash site.
Residents have praised the quick action of the two police officers who risked their lives by jumping into the rough waters with ropes tied to them in an attempt to save the pair.
Ronald Parra, who also helped in the rescue efforts, said that they saw the man face down in the water and he was already dead.
They then realized that the female driver was still alive so they rescued her.
The woman, who was not yet identified, was taken to a nearby hospital, where she is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She is said to be in stable condition.
