Two women were arrested on a charge of burglary after one of them lured a man to a bar while the other broke into his home and stole valuables, police in the United Kingdom said.
Now, 25-year-old Amy Moffat and 26-year-old Sarah Ireland of London, have been sentenced to serve two years in prison after pleading guilty to burglary.
According to the police investigation, Moffatt saw the 40-year-old victim, who was not identified, at a gas station, where she persuaded him to give her his phone number.
Later that night, Moffatt took the victim to a nearby pub.
Once they arrived, Moffatt messaged Ireland to enter the victim’s home. Ireland forced open the door to find a teenage boy in the home.
Ireland spoke with the boy, while her accomplice went through the home and stole the jewelry. The two suspects fled from the home moments after the boy called his mother.
