A man was arrested after he was seen smoking drugs in a police interrogation room.
27-year-old Vincent Arcona of New York, was taken in for questioning as a person of interest in Monday’s shooting that left one person dead and two injured in Penn Station.
He was not arrested, but rather questioned over the incident.
A spokesman for the New York City Police Department, said that the incident began with an argument at a McDonald’s restaurant over drugs and ended with the shooting at the subway station.
While he was in the interrogation room, Arcona pulled a baggie out of his behind. He then began smoking a substance, which was determined to be heroin.
That gave police reason to book him into jail, and he was charged with tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance.
