A man was arrested on a charge of trespassing after allegedly breaking into someone’s property to look for a nice place to urinate, police in Florida said.
The Palmetto Police Department said that they have arrested 30-year-old Garrett B. Sweetman, after a woman saw him trespassing on her property outside of her home.
Sweetman was charged with loitering and prowling, trespassing and drug possession. He was booked into the Manatee County jail, and his bail was set at $2,620.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded around 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the 1200 block of Eighth Avenue West.
A police officer who was patrolling the area, said that he noticed Sweetman acting suspiciously. The officer followed Sweetman until he lost sight of him.
He called for backup and officers found Sweetman in the Palmetto Mobile Home Park. At that point, a woman called the police to say that Sweetman illegally entered the mobile home park.
Sweetman told the police officers at the scene that he was looking for a quiet and nice place to urinate.
