A man was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly punching out four teeth of a photographer because he took a picture of him in a park, police in Florida said.
North Palm Beach police said that they have arrested 54-year-old Michael E. Cosgrove, after being accused of punching out the teeth of the 72-year-old photographer at the Lakeside Park.
Cosgrove was charged with one count of battery on a person age 65 or older. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, and his bail was set at $5,000.
According to the police investigation, the 72-year-old victim who works at the Department of Public Works, was in the park taking pictures of landscapes and wildlife when Cosgrove approached him.
Cosgrove was told that the employee was taking photos as a hobby, but the suspect accused the victim of taking photos of houses.
The employee then took a picture of Cosgrove. In response, Cosgrove grabbed the employee around the neck and punched him.
Police officers who arrived at the scene, said that Cosgrove shouted that the older man was taking pictures of houses.
Cosgrove appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during the incident. The attack knocked out four of the lower front teeth of the victim.
