A former lawyer in the United Kingdom, was found not guilty of burglary despite walking into a woman’s bedroom with fishnet stockings and g-string underpants.
Desmond Moran of London, was found not guilty by a jury.
Moran, 53, told the court that he was on drugs at the time of the incident, and he believed that the woman was a huge panda.
Moran was a well-known lawyer in the United States, Hong Kong, and England, before he fell on hard times. He now lives at different shelters.
Jurors at Southwark Crown Court in London, heard that the woman had been sleeping in her bed with her two children when she awoke to see Moran standing at the door.
Fearing for the safety of her children, the woman began screaming at Moran, and ordered him to get out of her house. At first, he didn’t respond, but he eventually left.
The woman called police, who found Moran in the basement of the house. He was still wearing the g-string and the fishnet stockings.
Police said that the 53-year-old man was so agitated that it took three officers to put him in handcuffs. He was arrested and charged with trespassing.
However, he was found not guilty after telling the court: “I honestly didn’t see a woman on the bed, I didn’t see any children in the bed. I honestly thought it was a big panda bear in the bed, that’s what it looked like to me.”
