A police sergeant who received the employee of the month award, was arrested on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident after allegedly ramming his car into the vehicle belonging to a nude dancer, police in Florida said.

Kissimmee police said that they have arrested 36-year-old Bruce Connors, after being accused of hitting the nude dancer’s vehicle following hours of drinking at a club and leaving the scene.

Connors was charged with one count of leaving the scene of a crash, and he was placed on paid administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation.

According to the police investigation, an employee of the strip club employee parked her 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass in the parking lot.

Connors and two of his friends left the club shortly before the crash. Connors kicked off his sandals and began dancing barefoot on the pavement.

After putting on his sandals, Connors dropped the keys to his car and took a moment to recover before opening the driver’s door of his vehicle.

After sitting for about a minute, he put the vehicle into gear and immediately hit the classic car parked beside him.

27-year-old Jessica Bruce, the owner of the car and a dancer at the strip club, left the building and ran after Connors, who stopped briefly at the nearby intersection before speeding away.

The dancer’s car sustained damage to the front bumper, hood, fenders and wheels. Several months ago, Connors was given the employee of the month award.
