(Scroll down for video) A young girl of Australia, was hailed as a hero after she drove her father’s car to get help for him and his girlfriend.
Her actions saved the life of her stepmother after a tragic accident, but unfortunately, it was too late to save the father.
Damian Tattersall, 29, of New South Wales, was installing a water pump at the bottom of a 30 meter well when he was overcome with carbon monoxide.
The tragedy unfolded while the family was on a farm in a remote area in Weilmoringle, where there is no cellphone reception.
His girlfriend, Megan Kelly, climbed down a rope ladder to Tattersall, but she fell when the ladder broke, becoming trapped as well.
Tattersall’s 13-year-old daughter Mikaela and his 11-year-old son Tristan, got into their father’s car and drove to a neighbor’s house 35 kilometers away.
The neighbor called for help and returned to the well with a portable air compressor, and pumped air into the shaft. Kelly was rescued by emergency workers, but Tattersall was pronounced dead.
