(Scroll down for video) A man got a light sentence for killing the man who raped him as a child.

Clark Fredericks, 50, of New Jersey, admitted to killing the Boy Scout leader as revenge because the victim raped him several decades earlier.

He received a sentence of five years on Thursday.

Fredericks was sentenced to 5 years in prison, which is the shortest possible time in state prison for passion/provocation manslaughter.

He will be eligible for parole in about nine months with credit for time served. He was jailed in 2012.

Fredericks of Sussex, pleaded guilty to killing 68-year-old Dennis Pegg, who was a former Boy Scout leader and a retired corrections officer.

In his statement in court, Fredericks said that Pegg sexually assaulted and raped him since he was 8 years old until he was 12 years old.

Fredericks told the court that he stood over Pegg and asked “how does it feel to rape little kids,” before he slit his throat.

Sussex County Assistant Prosecutor Greg Mueller and Judge Thomas Critchley agreed that evidence backed up Fredericks’ account that Pegg sexually abused him.

“I do not feel like I am sentencing someone who was committed to a criminal lifestyle. What happened to him as a child made him snap,” Critchley said. “It is clear that Mr. Fredericks was exploited, abused and damaged by someone who was in a position of authority,” the judge said at sentencing.
