(Scroll down for video) A hungry man was irritated when it took too long for his pizza pie to be delivered.
33-year-old Frank Veltri of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was arrested after he grabbed the pizza from the driver and refused to pay for the order.
Steven and Nicole Tyukodi, who delivered the order from Pizza Hut on East Carson Street, told police that Veltri grabbed the order and refused to pay, saying that he should get the order for free because it took too long to deliver the food.
Records showed that the order took 49 minutes to arrive. The incident unfolded around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
When the driver refused to hand over the pizza, wings and breadsticks for free, Veltri grabbed the food from his hands.
Steven and Nicole Tyukodi said that Veltri refused to return the order or pay for the food, and went to his car. He allegedly removed a handgun from the glove compartment of his car, and he threatened the delivery guy with it.
The delivery guy left Veltri’s property and the police were called.
Veltri was arrested and charged with robbery, simple assault and theft by unlawful taking. He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
