(Scroll down for video) A boy tricked a man to get out of his car and then stealing the vehicle.
The boy of St. Petersburg, Florida, may look young and innocent, but he is well known to police as he has been arrested more than 20 times since he was 9 years old.
St. Petersburg police said that the 12-year-old boy stole the car from an 89-year-old man who was identified as Raymond Raftery.
Raftery said that he was driving his Toyota, when the 12-year-old boy, who was on a bike, told him that his tire was low on air.
Raftery stopped at an air pump and got out of the car to check the tire. That is when the boy jumped off his bike, got into the car and drove off.
Raftery was not injured. The robbery took place about 11:00 a.m. The incident was captured on surveillance video, which was later released to the public.
A detective recognized the boy in the video. He was arrested and charged with grand theft auto.
Detectives said that the boy has been arrested over 20 times. He was charged with 12 felonies and 6 auto thefts as well as several burglaries and armed robberies.
