A woman was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly assaulting her husband with a greeting card because he defecated on her bed and refused to clean up, police in Scotland said.

Perth police said that they arrested the young woman, who was not identified, after her husband called them to complain that he was assaulted with the greeting card.

After being locked up all night in a police cell, prosecutors decided to drop the assault charge and sent the woman home.

According to the police investigation, the woman woke up in middle of the night on Tuesday, when her husband, who was drunk, defecated in her bed.

When she left for work on Wednesday morning, she asked him to clean the bed by the time she returned home. The husband, who was not identified, opened a bottle of alcohol, and spent the rest of the day drinking.

When the woman came home from work, she confronted her husband for not cleaning up the mess. She then sat down to write some greeting cards, but her husband berated her.

He then took a pen and scribbled on some of the cards, ruining them. The woman snapped, picked up a card and hit her husband in the face with it.

The husband decided to call the police to report the attack, and the woman was arrested.
