(Scroll down for video) A Boy Scouts leader was arrested on a charge of failure to exercise control of a minor after allegedly giving alcohol and marijuana to a teenage boy, police in New York said.
The New York Police Department said that they have arrested 32-year-old Lawrence Moschitta of Long Island, after being accused of giving alcohol and marijuana to the 13-year-old boy while he was at his home.
Moschitta was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and failure to exercise control of a minor. He was booked into jail, and his bail was set at $2,500.
Troop 183 announced that Moschitta is no longer with the Boy Scouts.
According to the police investigation, on Wednesday, Moschitta gave alcohol and marijuana to the 13-year-old boy who was visiting his home.
The boy is a Boy Scouts member. The father of Moschitta, Anthony Moschitta, called the allegations shocking and false.
He also said that his son would never endanger any child.
