(Scroll down for video) Police are looking to arrest a man on a charge of theft after allegedly stealing a tip jar from a restaurant, police in New Zealand said.

Christchurch police said that the incident unfolded on Friday around 5:00 p.m. at the Nandos Riccarton restaurant.

The owner of the restaurant, Yateen Lallu, said that the thief ended up with a bad deal as he placed in order for a meal that totaled $15 while the tip jar only contained $10.

The incident was recorded on the store’s security cameras and was uploaded to Facebook, where it went viral. The video shows the thief sitting down and waiting for his food before looking around to see if he can steal the tip jar.

He then got up quietly and looked around. When no one was looking, he quickly placed the tip jar in his bag. The man went to the bathroom before the restaurant owner’s wife discovered that the tip jar was missing.

The owner confronted the man when he came out of the toilet, but he denied the allegations.
