(Scroll down for video) An animal lover said that he became so overwhelmed with excitement when he saw a tiger that he jumped onto its enclosure.
Police in China, were called after the man jumped out of a chairlift when it was above the tiger enclosure at a zoo in central Henan on Saturday.
Luckily, their was a net over the cage and the thrill-seeker fell onto the safety net. The animals beneath began running around wildly, trying to get to the man.
A zookeeper rushed inside the cage and was able to isolate the tigers before climbing on top of the net to help the man get down safely.
Wang Jianluo, who is responsible for the safety of the chairlifts at the zoo, said that the 40-year-old man admitted to purposely jumping out of the chairlift.
While being rescued, the suspect told Jianluo: “I didn’t do a good somersault.” After hearing that Jianluo said: “I didn’t know what to say to him.”
The tourist was questioned by police. The man said that he got excited while passing over the enclosure. He was charged with disorderly conduct.
