Police are looking to arrest a well-dressed woman on a charge of assault after allegedly stabbing two train passengers because they touched the pole that she used to lean on, police in New York said.

The New York Police Department said that the incident unfolded around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, as the victims and the suspect were traveling on the A train between Jay Street and Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn.

According to a video uploaded to the Internet, the suspect, who appeared to be around 30 years old and 6 feet tall, was heard threatening the couple for more than a minute before stabbing them.

The suspect taunted the victims who were stabbed in the face, saying that she will get away with the crime. The woman got off the A train on Nostrand Avenue, police said.

Witnesses at the scene said that the suspect became angry after the victims touched the pole that she used to lean on.

The victims refused medical attention. Police appealed to the public for information about the suspect. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, black shoes and a yellow coat.

She was also carrying a bright red purse. So far, she was not arrested.
