(Scroll down for video) A police officer was injured after killing his three colleagues.
While police officers are trained to get difficult situation under control, one police officer took his colleagues hostage during an argument.
Police officer Guarionex Candelario, shot and killed three of his colleagues before he was shot, police said.
Candelario, 50, who was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, was on duty when he entered the office of his commander in Puerto Rico.
He allegedly got into an argument with Commander Frank Roman, when things escalated. Candelario pulled out his gun and took the commander and two colleagues as hostages.
While hostage negotiators were talking to Candelario, he opened fire and killed all three. The victims were identified as Frank Roman, 49, Luz M. Soto Segarra, 49, and Rosario Hernandez de Hoyos, 42.
Candelario was shot twice after the officers broke into the office to help the hostages. Sadly, it was too late and they all died of their injuries.
Candelario faces charges of murder.
