(Scroll down for video) A teenager is behind bars for kidnapping a baby from her mother and dumping the girl in a recycling bin.

The 17-year-old boy has been charged with several crimes after the 22-month-old girl was found inside the recycling bin in Canada.

Winnipeg Police said that the suspect was at a house party on Pritchard Avenue, when a fight broke out between the homeowner and a neighbor who was invited to the party.

Neighbor Robert Keno was chased away from the home. He managed to escape the fight and ran to his home, which is close by.

While the mother of the child was distracted by the fight, the suspect, who was not identified, took the 22-month-old girl and ran out of the house.

The 17-year-old boy, who is the uncle of the baby, ran from the home with the child who was not dressed properly.

He then allegedly fell and landed on top of the child, causing serious injuries. Police said that rather than returning to the home, the teen dumped the girl in the recycling bin, where she was trapped for about 15 minutes while the wind chill fell below zero.

Keno, who was earlier chased from the home, heard the baby crying in the recycling bin. He ran over and found the girl wearing almost no clothes and was trapped in the recycling bin.

The baby's mother said she did not know why the 17-year-old suspect took her daughter out of her home, but said that the boy had been drinking heavily at the time of the incident.

The baby was taken to the hospital, and is in the care of child and family services. The mother hopes to regain custody of her daughter soon.

The mother also apologized to Keno for kicking him out of the party and thanked him for saving her daughter’s life.

Father rescues man from drowning before learning it was his long lost son

Phil and Benji Baker with Benji’s girlfriend
By: Chan Yuan

A man who jumped into an ocean after seeing a man in distress, learned that the man is his own son.

Father Phil Baker and son Benji, were reunited in a very dramatic way.

Phil Baker had not seen his son for 13 years, as his son lived in the United Kingdom while he lived in Australia.

Benji was born in Australia. Phil and his then partner Jacquie Blake, separated when Benji was 3 years old and Jacquie took the child back to Britain and settled in Haslemere, Surrey.

Phil saw his son a few times over the next five years and kept in touch via email and birthday cards, but eventually lost touch.

Recently, his son Benji, 21, contacted his father, saying that he was planning a trip to Australia and he wanted to meet him.

Eagerly awaiting to meet his son who he had not seen in 13 years, Phil took a walk on the beach with his wife Lyn.

While walking, Phil, 62, saw some kayakers in trouble in the water, and without hesitation, he jumped into the water to help.

While carrying the wounded and semiconscious man to shore he realized that it was his long lost son.

“I looked at his face, and it occurred to me that those brown eyes were very familiar,” Phil said.

Although Phil had seen only a handful of pictures of his son up until the boy was 8 years old, he recognized him immediately.

“In an instant, I knew that the ‘stranger’ was my son,” he added.

When Benji was about 12 years old, he began suffering from seizures. When he was a teen, he was having seizures almost everyday, but within a few years it had subsided.

Benji said that the seizures tend to strike when he feels stressed as it happened on the day when he was preparing to meet his father for the first time in years in Byron Bay, New South Wales.

He decided to go kayaking to calm his nerves, and suffered a seizure in the water. That is when his father came to his rescue.

The father and son are now closer than ever.

Teenager executed after being wrongfully convicted of murdering a woman

(Scroll down for video) A family was left heartbroken after their son was accused of killing a woman.

The 18-year-old man maintained his innocence through his entire trial, but was found guilty of the crime.

The teenager of China, was executed for the rape and murder of the woman. However, a serial killer recently confessed to killing that woman.

Now, the parents of the teenager, who has been identified as Hugjiltu, received 2.06 million yuan (about $330,500)
in compensation from the government after the murder conviction of their son was overturned.

The Higher People's Court in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region granted the award six days after Hugjiltu’s parents filed for a lawsuit for compensation.

The court said that compensation was for the “extremely serious mental harm” inflicted on the parents.

Hugjiltu was only 18 year -old when he was charged and convicted in connection with the murder of the woman in a public toilet in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia.

He was executed two months later. Considerable doubt was cast on the verdict when a serial killer confessed to the murder.

Last month, the court held a retrial for the late Hugjiltu, and he was finally exonerated. The new trial included additional evidence provided by a friend of Hugjiltu and eyewitness who had questioned the police handling of the case.

Following the decision, the judicial authorities immediately presented the parents of Hugjiltu with 30,000 yuan (almost $5,000) in compensation and promised additional funds.

However, many people are not happy with the compensation, saying the money is not enough for taking the life of an innocent man.

People are calling for the execution of the police officers responsible for the wrongful death of Hugjiltu.
