(Scroll down for video) McDonald's announced that it will allow some customers to pay with selfies or by telling a loved one “I love you.”
A spokesperson for McDonald’s said that the company is trying to spread a little love with its new promotion.
The company will allow selected customers to pay for their meal with affectionate acts, such as calling a family member, giving a hug, or taking a selfie.
The promotion will run for 12 days. Customers will be able to pay with good words, selfies, hugs and high fives.
However, one man was not impressed by the promotion.
“Why not show some love for the animals you confine and kill by the billions each year? Stop pretending to be good guys,” InvisiMan wrote on the company’s YouTube channel.
“Hey there. We’ve worked for more than 25 years with industry, welfare experts and organizations on animal handling and treatment to identify where McDonald’s can drive improvement through the industry,” a company spokesperson replied.
