A restaurant in Japan, added a surprising dish to their menu - live shrimp covered in ants.
The chef behind the Noma restaurant in Denmark, which has been voted the best in the world several times, has opened a branch in Tokyo.
The restaurant is selling a dish, which includes live shrimp, black ants and moss, for $660. 37-year-old Rene Redzepi has opened Noma Tokyo on the 37th floor of the Mandarin Oriental hotel.
After just five weeks in business, there waiting list grew to 60,000 diners. One diner said that the shrimp was fresh because the brain has not yet sent signals to its body that it was dead.
He described the sensation of biting into it as surprisingly good.
Other dishes on the menu include fried reindeer moss, fermented grasshopper, roasted lettuce juice, chocolate covered mushrooms and roasted duck served with its beak and feet.
