A woman filed a lawsuit against an upscale restaurant in Manhattan after being served fish with a hook still attached to it, according to court documents filed in New York.

The incident unfolded when Russo and Aliona Vincent, were having dinner at Villagio on the Park, which is located in Central Park.

Aliona ordered branzino, and felt something unusual when she bit into it. She removed the fish from her mouth and was horrified to find the hook.

The couple said that the fish was cooked and served with the large hook on the inside of it. Aliona was physically and psychologically injured by the incident, according to the lawsuit.

They accused the restaurant of being negligent, careless and reckless. The lawsuit seeks an unspecified amount for damages.

(Scroll down for video) Firefighters were called to help free a horse from a bathtub, according to a video uploaded to the Internet.

Firefighters in Sacramento, California, had to rescue the 30-year-old horse that got stuck in the bathtub.

The horse named Phantom, was dancing around in its enclosure on Wednesday, when it fell into the bathtub, which was used to feed all the other horses on the barn.

The horse was trapped for about 25 minutes with its feet up in the air before being rescued. The owner of the horse, Charles Campbell, said that the police dispatcher first thought that he was stuck in the bathtub.

However, his wife clarified that it was the horse that had to be rescued. Firefighters and the horse owner's family members managed to turn the bathtub on its side and pull out the horse by its feet.

The horse did not suffer any injuries.

Man freaks out after seeing banana hanging on tree

A man called police to report a possible bomb after seeing an object that looked like a banana, hanging from a tree, police in Nebraska said.

Lincoln firefighters responded to the scene of the suspicions banana on Tuesday, after a Lincoln Electric Systems worker spotted it hanging from a pine tree.

The device was wrapped in yellow ribbon and was hanging on the tree by a cable. Police officers and a bomb squad also responded to the scene.

After a few tense minutes, the bomb squad determined that the banana was not a bomb. According to the police investigation, the banana was placed on the tree as part of a game called geocaching.

Geocaching has already placed three million objects around the world, and people earn points for finding them.

Mother kills her 2 young daughters because she became sick of parenting

A mother was arrested on charges of murder after killing her 2 young girls because she was sick of parenting, police in Japan said.

Chiba Police said that they have arrested 36-year-old Rika Makino, after being accused killing her two daughters, aged 4 and 1.

According to the police investigation, officers were called to the woman’s home by the father of the children after he found the dead bodies.

Around 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Makino called her husband at work, to tell him what she had done.

When police arrived, Makino was standing in the doorway of the home and admitted to strangling her daughters, Renoa, 4, and Reisa, 1.

During questioning, Makino told police that she was tired of being a parent. She also revealed that she tried to kill herself, but wasn't successful.

Fake doctor kills sick patient by injecting him with wrong medication and throws remains into river

A fake doctor was arrested on charges of murder after allegedly killing a sick patient and throwing his remains in a river, police in China said.

Fujian Police said that they arrested the unlicensed doctor after one of his patients was found dead and floating in the river.

The body was dismembered and wrapped in plastic. A municipal worker discovered the dismembered body in the river on Saturday, and called the police.

Police were able to identify the victim as 39-year-old Jeong Cheng. The victim was reported missing by family members several days before the discovery.

According to the police investigation, the victim went to a health clinic after suffering from an illness, but left after he was quoted a high price for treatment.

The victim then went to the unlicensed clinic for treatment. An autopsy revealed that the patient died after receiving an IV injection with the wrong medication.

The fake doctor panicked. He dismembered the body and dumped the parts in the nearby river.

Man slashes former girlfriend's breasts after she refused to get back together

A man was arrested on charges of attempted murder after slashing his former girlfriend's breasts because she refused to get back together with him, police in China said.

Now, the Jiading District People's Court sentenced the man identified as Zhang, 23, to serve six years in prison for trying to kill his former girlfriend.

According to the police investigation, Zhang was in a relationship with Xiao Ting, but her parents were against it. Eventually they broke up due to the pressure.

However, Zhang constantly tried to get back together with Ting. One day, when Ting refused Zhang’s advances, he pulled out a knife and slashed her breasts.

Ting was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she recovered. After the stabbing, Zhang attempted to commit suicide by jumping into a river.

He then tried to cut his throat, using the same knife with which he slashed his former girlfriend. Passersby noticed what Zhand use doing and rescued him.

Zhand went to a nearby police station and confessed to slashing his former girlfriend. In addition to the six year prison sentence, Zhang was ordered to pay the victim 100,000 yuan ($16,000) in compensation.

Young woman electrocuted while taking a bath after her smartphone fell into the water

A young woman is dead after her smartphone accidentally fell into her bathtub while she was relaxing in the hot water, police in Russia said.

Moscow Police said that 24-year-old Yevgenia Sviridenko, has died after being electrocuted by her smartphone.

Sviridenko was discovered by her roommate floating in the bathtub on Monday night. The roommate, who was not identified, said that she went into the bathroom after Sviridenko was in there for a very long time.

When she went inside, she was horrified to find Sviridenko floating in the water. Her phone was also in the water. She pulled her out and her body was shaking.

Paramedics who arrived at the scene, attempted to revive her, but they were unsuccessful.

According to the police investigation, Sviridenko was using her smartphone while laying in the bathtub because her social media account was updated around the time of her death.

Mother and daughter get their hands stuck in escalator (video)

(Scroll down for video) A mother and her two-year-old daughter were rescued after getting their hands stuck in the mechanism of an escalator.

The accident occurred in a mall in China, when a man, who was also riding the escalator, accidentally dropped a suitcase and it fell onto the mother and daughter.

The mother stumbled and her daughter fell from her arms.

Surveillance video of the incident shows the mother, Liu Chao, 27, standing on the escalator with her daughter in her arms when they were hit from behind.

The girl tumbled down the escalator before her hand was sucked into the side of the mechanism. When her mother tried to rescue her child, her hand also got stuck in the mechanism.

A witness managed to stop the escalator before rescue workers arrived. A mall spokesperson said that it took rescue workers about 45 minutes to release the child's left hand and the mother’s right hand.

Meanwhile, the man who had caused the accident ran away.

The mother and child were treated for shock, but had not suffered any serious injuries to their hands as a result of the incident.

They were taken to a hospital for observation, and were released the same day.

Pizza delivery driver raped at gunpoint by teenager who is on house arrest

(Scroll down for video) A pizza delivery driver called police after saying that she was raped by a teenager.

Darrion Miles, Jr., 17, of California, is accused of kidnapping the Domino’s Pizza delivery driver at gunpoint before raping her.

The 22-year-old victim told police that she was exiting her car to deliver pizza around 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, when Miles forced her back into her car and ordered her to drive to a secluded area, where he sexually assaulted her.

When he was done, the teen ordered the victim to drive him home and stole her cellphone.

Miles was under house arrest with the use of an ankle monitor, authorities said. Police recovered the woman’s cellphone at his home.

Miles is facing life in prison after being arrested on eight felony charges, including sodomy and robbery, following the attack in Antioch.

The teen’s father, Darrion Earl Miles, Sr., defended his son and said that the sex between his son and the woman was consensual.

The father said that no gun was found on his son. He believes that the woman made up the rape allegations after his son took her phone and refused to return it.

Miles was arrested and he will likely be tried as an adult because of the serious nature of his crimes.

Woman commits suicide after being caught on national TV shoplifting

A woman in the United Kingdom, was very embarrassed when she was caught shoplifting on a reality TV show.

Elizabeth Outram of London, committed suicide on her 30th birthday after being caught shoplifting by the “Caught On Camera” television program, a court has heard.

Outram was found hanging at her home in Hackney, after a night out to celebrate her birthday.

The court was told that Outram, had suffered from bouts of depression, anxiety and panic attacks for many years.

Her mental health had stabilized and she was able to attend a friend’s bachelorette party. Before going to the party, Outram went to the TK Maxx store and changed the price tags on a leather jacket.

She was detained by store personnel and charged with fraud. The incident was captured by a television company that was recording a reality show.

Outram’s older sister, Alexandra, told the court that her sister was traumatized after learning that the incident will be aired on television.

Outram told the television show’s producers that she was receiving psychiatric treatment and that it was not right for them to air the theft, but they claimed that they have a right to use the footage.

Outram Elizabeth attempted suicide with an overdose of antidepressants on the day she was due in court on the fraud charges.

She took her life one month later.

Psychiatric consultant Nicholas Price told the court that Outram’s condition had deteriorated after her arrest. He said that she became very worried about her reputation.

Alexandra Outram said that after the death of her sister, the show’s producers said that they will not broadcast the footage of her theft.

Prostitute steals gun from police officer after sleeping with him

(Scroll down for video) A police officer in California, was allowed to walk free after he admitted to using a prostitute who robbed him.

The officer drove to Nevada, where he spent $70 for a night with a prostitute.

However, when the officer fell asleep in the motel room, which he rented for the night, the prostitute stole his gun, badge and handcuffs.

Now, the attorney for Kensington Police Sgt. Keith Barrow said that his client may have been drugged before he was robbed.

The officer notified police as soon as he realized that his gun was stolen. The weapon was found the next day, when a man got in an altercation with two people at a Reno pawnshop and accidentally shot himself in the leg with the gun.

When police confiscated the gun from the suspect, they realized that it was officer Barrow’s weapon.

Police officers arrested the 25-year-old Christina Mae Taylor, after being accused of stealing the officer's gun, badge, two magazines of ammunition and his handcuffs.

Taylor was charged with grand larceny.


Parents find nude photos of teacher on 14-year-old son’s phone

(Scroll down for video) A teacher was arrested for having an inappropriate relationship with a young boy.

Whitney Fetters, 28, was a middle school teacher in Oklahoma, before she was arrested.

Fetters is facing charges of sexual assault after the parents of her former student discovered nude photos of her on the phone of their 14-year-old son, authorities said.

Fetters sent at least 20 nude and partially nude photos of herself. She also exchanged a series of explicit text messages with the child, according to court documents.

The boy tried to delete the messages and images when confronted by his parents, but detectives were able to recover the erotic evidence.

Putnam City Police issued a warrant for the middle school Spanish teacher after the boy's parents found the photos on his phone and drove the boy to the police station to report the abuse.

Investigators said that Fetters began texting the boy when he was her student at just 12 years old.

Fetters surrendered to police after learning about the warrant. She was later released after posting $10,000 bail.

Police raided her home and confiscated her phone, computers and even underwear in which she allegedly modeled in the photos that she sent to the teen.

Fetters faces charges that include indecent exposure, lewd proposals to a child younger than 16 years old and soliciting sex of a minor.

Mother holds down 8-year-old daughter so boyfriend can rape her

(Scroll down for video) A brave girl managed to escape the clutches of her mother and from the rape of her mother’s boyfriend.

The 8-year-old girl of Ohio, ran to a neighbor’s house and told them that she had been sexually abused by her mother’s boyfriend numerous times.

Police were called after the girl told her neighbor that her mother held her down while her mother’s boyfriend sexually abused her in her mother’s bed.

Police in Columbus, arrested the mother, who was not named to protect the identity of the child, along with her boyfriend, Alberto Hernandez.

Franklin County prosecutors said that the mother restrained her own daughter as her partner raped her on a number of occasions.

Hernandez is being held on bail of $2 million, while the child’s mother is being held on bail of $1 million.

The 8-year-old girl is now safe, and she was placed in the custody of her biological father.

Dealership repossesses car with 9-month-old child inside

Police were called after a baby was taken from a day care center in Florida.

Antoinette Jordan went to pick up her children from the day care center, and she left her 9-month-old child inside.

When she came out, her car and her baby were gone.
The mother called police, thinking that her car was stolen.

The school went into lockdown after Jordan’s older daughter said that she saw “two white males get in the car and leave.”

“I thought somebody kidnapped her,” Antoinette Jordan said. The Orlando Police Department soon tracked down the car at the Xpress Finance and General Auto on John Young Parkway, about four miles from the day care.

Jordan realized that her car was repossessed because she had missed a payment of $199. “I was not worried about my car, I was just worried about my daughter,” she said.

Jordan, who was left stranded without her car at the day care center, said that the repo man should have checked the car before taking it.

Blonde woman commits suicide because she turned 30 years old before getting married and having kids

A blonde woman, who became extremely depressed for turning 30 years old before finding a husband, committed suicide, a court in the United Kingdom has heard.

Rachel Gow of Haslingden, always dreamed of marrying the perfect man and having children, and when she failed to reach these milestones, she swallowed poison.

Gow, who worked at the Royal Bolton Hospital, had a constant fear that her boyfriend, Anton Tsvarev, would leave her. Gow was struggling with anxiety since her mother, Connie, died of cancer.

Gow believed that she was not good enough, and she confided to a therapist that she had been researching suicide techniques.

On the morning of her death, Gow had an argument with her boyfriend, and she kicked him out of the house. The next day, Tsvarev came by to check on Gow, and he found her dead.

Gow's death was ruled a suicide by the Burnley Coroners’ Court.

A jealous woman used an ax to attack her husband’s younger wife because she managed to have sex with her man all the time, police in Zimbabwe said.

Gutu Police said that 35-year-old Alice Makohomero of Takawira, committed suicide after hitting 20-year-old Teriza Mupfumirwa in the head with an ax.

According to the police investigation, Makohomero was jealous of Mupfumirwa because she received all the attention of her husband.

The incident unfolded on Thursday around 11:00 a.m. The two women were fighting over 41-year-old Cherechedzai Takawira.

The fight began when Makohomero criticized Mupfumirwa for waking up late in the morning, despite the fact that it was her turn to do the household chores.

Makohomero became enraged after Mupfumirwa told her that she had no right to tell her went to get up in the morning. Makohomero took an ax and hit Mupfumirwa, who is eight months pregnant, twice in the head.

Mupfumirwa was rushed to the Silveira Mission Hospital, where she is said to be in critical condition. Makohomero hanged herself before police arrived at the scene.

Football player kills transgender girlfriend for cheating on him with another man (video)

(Scroll down for video) A football player was arrested on charges of murder after allegedly killing his transgender girlfriend for cheating on him with another man, police in Texas said.

Tyler Police said that when they responded to a car accident scene on Monday, a witness told them that he heard gunshots just prior to the crash.

Officers saw a crashed red Toyota Camry, which had jumped the curb and stopped in front of a utility pole. Police found the victim, who suffered from several gunshot wounds, in the driver’s seat.

The victim was identified as 24-year-old Tyrone Lee Underwood, a transgender woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested 21-year-old Carlton Ray Champion Jr., a college football player, in connection with the murder. According to the police investigation, Champion and Underwood had an ongoing sexual relationship.

On the night of the murder, Champion accused Underwood of having an affair with another man.

Underwood’s roommate told investigators that the woman had been dating a man named Carlton, for several weeks before she was murdered.

Champion was booked into the Gregg County Jail, and his bail was set at $1 million.

Two brothers were arrested on charges of assault after allegedly beating up a man who was having sex with their mother, police in Nigeria said.

Lagos State Police said that they arrested the two brothers identified as Joseph and Mark, in connection with the assault on Maurice, 24, for sleeping with their 50-year-old mother.

The mother said that her sons no longer want to speak with her because she decided to date a young man.

The relationship came to light after a neighbor of the mother, who lives in Victoria Island, told the two brothers about Maurice.

The neighbor revealed that he saw Maurice entering the woman’s home in the evening and leaving in the morning. The brothers became very jealous of their mother’s relationship and decided to put an end to it.

The two brothers hid near their mother’s home, and when Maurice arrived, they secretly went after him into the home.

The brother followed him to their mother's bedroom, and when Maurice undressed in front of their mother, they beat him.

Maurice was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is receiving treatment for bruises. Joseph and Mark were arrested on charges of assault.

Man kills pervert after going into bathroom while his younger sister was taking a shower

A man was arrested on charges of murder after killing a pervert who broke into a bathroom while a young girl was taking a shower, police in Nigeria said.

Lagos State Police said that they arrested Anthony Ogbogu, after being accused of stabbing his neighbor to death during a fight over using a bathroom.

According to the police investigation, on Monday, Ogbogu's younger sister, Loveth, was taking a shower in the bathroom of his home.

30-year-old Jonathan Emeh wanted to use the bathroom, but was denied access by Ogbogu because his younger sister was showering.

However, Emeh broke down the door and went into the bathroom, leaving the young girl horrified. Later, Ogbogu confronted Emeh with a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the back.

Emeh was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died. Ogbogu was arrested and charged with one count of murder.

Woman ordered to pay $500,000 because her dog barked

(Scroll down for video) A woman said that she was shocked by a court order to pay $500,000 over her dog’s barking.

Denise Norton of Seattle, Washington, could lose her home if she does not pay the court ordered fine.

Norton said that her neighbor sued her for $500,000 - saying that her dog named Cawper, is known for its “raucously, wildly bellowing, howling and explosive barking,” and that the barking caused him for “profound emotional distress.”

Norton disputed the fact and said that her dog only barks occasionally. Norton said that she did not believe that the lawsuit was serious and she did not show up in court.

Because of her absence in court, her neighbor won $500,000 by default.

A lien was put on her home. Officers came to her home to serve her with court paper, saying that the house will be put up for sale over her unpaid debt.

Norton was forced to use her savings to pay for lawyers in order to try to untangle the mess, and attempt to have the court order reversed.
