A father was arrested for shaking his baby after becoming angry at a gaming system.
The man of Newport, New Hampshire, was arrested Monday, after his son was taken to a hospital on two occasions.
Jerry Carrier, 26, is accused of shaking his 3-month-old son.
Emergency workers responded to Carrier’s home after the 3-months-old child was in distress. The child was taken to the New London Hospital, and was released.
The next day, the baby was returned to the hospital and was admitted because he could not keep his food down.
Two weeks later, police responded to a similar incident at the home. Investigators said that the baby's mother found the child unresponsive and not breathing. He was taken to a nearby hospital.
Earlier this month, Carrier was arrested for an unrelated charge. During the interview with police, he allegedly confessed to shaking the 3-month-old son to relieve his anger towards the video gaming system.
The baby was placed in state custody.
