A woman in the United Kingdom, was horrified to discover that blood was mixed into the two drinks she bought at Costa Coffee.
Now, Costa Coffee has issued an apology to 30-year-old Janine Hughes, who claimed that she was served blood with drinks she bought at a drive-thru window in Swansea.
Hughes sent the blood to a lab for tests. Hughes said that a worker who served her the drinks had a cut hand at some of the blood dripped into her coffee.
The woman took a few sips of her coffee and it tasted like iron.
She immediately realized that something was wrong but did not know that her coffee had blood, until she saw some under the lid.
Hughes went back into the store and asked to see the manager. She was offered new drinks. Costa Coffee said that this was an isolated incident.
Hughes said that she will probably never go back to Costa Coffee.
