(Scroll down for video) Several exotic dancers have decided to sue a club that paid them below the minimum wage and also took away part of their tips, according to court documents in Texas.
Two dancers in San Antonio, claim in their lawsuit that Tiffany’s Cabaret violated federal minimum wage laws.
The club however, denied the allegations, saying that the tips the women receive are service charges that belong to Tiffany’s.
The women said that they filed the lawsuit because they were not paid the minimum wage and they were not allowed to keep all of the tips either.
The women were told that they are required to share some of their tips with the DJ and the manager. Another group of about 12 former employees are also preparing to file a lawsuit, claiming that they were not paid the minimum wage.
