A man shot his teenage girlfriend during an argument.

21-year-old Dimitri Harrell of St. Paul, Minnesota, was arrested for the shooting death of his girlfriend.

Harrell shot 19-year-old Samirria White, while she was holding their 3-month-old baby, police said.

Harrell told police that he accidentally fired the gun while the couple was arguing. The gun had been stored under the mattress of the baby’s crib.

White was shot in the head at close range, the coroner's office said.

There were several people inside the apartment when Harrell and White began arguing around 3:40 a.m., authorities said.

The woman’s 16-year-old brother heard the two screaming in their bedroom, and he listened as his sister shouted “Don't point that gun at me,” according to the police. Then the teenager heard a gunshot.

He ran into the room and told Harrell to get away from his sister. Harrell told the 16-year-old boy that he had no intention of firing the gun, which he bought a few days before the incident.

White died from her injuries. Her 3-month-old baby was not hurt.

Harrell has two children with another woman. In 2014, the mother of his other children filed for a protective order after Harrell allegedly shoved her into a car while she was pregnant.

Man who ignored injured woman at side of road later discovers that it was his mother

A man is devastated over the death of his mother.

The man of China, was on the way to his mother’s home when he spotted an injured woman.

He drove by the woman without stopping to help her.

The man who was identified as Zhang of Wuhu City, Anhui, later discovered that the injured woman was his own mother, but by then it was too late to save her.

Zhang admitted that he saw the seriously injured old woman on the side of the road when he was on the way to his mother's house in Nanling.

When he arrived at his mother’s home, neighbors told Zhang that she left her home to go visit him. He immediately drove back in the direction he came from.

He then spotted the woman still laying on the road covered with blood. It was then that he realized that the injured woman was his mother.

She had been injured in an hit-and-run accident. Zhang called an ambulance, but she died on the way to a hospital.

Zhang said that he did not stop to help the woman because his car did not have a dashboard camera.

Sadly, many people have been sued or extorted for money by the people they helped. This trend has left many doubts about offering a hand in cases like these.

In February, an elderly man who fell on the street, was ignored by dozens of people until he was hit by a car.

People are demanding a “Good Samaritan Law,” which will protect good Samaritans who stop to help injured people.

Judge blames 3-year-old victim for being raped because she walked into to the man’s home

Kevin Jonas Rojano
By: Chan Yuan

People are outraged with a judge’s ruling that a rapist did not intend to hurt a girl when he raped her.

20-year-old Kevin Jonas Rojano of Orange County, California, was found guilty of raping the 3-year-old girl.

The mandatory sentence for the charges against him required a 25-year to life in prison. However, Judge M. Marc Kelly cut the sentence and gave him

just 10 year in prison, saying that the suspect “did not intend to harm" the child who he sexually assaulted.

Rojano was found guilty of sodomizing the 3-year-old girl in his garage.

Rojano was playing video games in the garage of his home in Santa Ana, when the victim walked in. Rojano said that he became sexually aroused by the child and he sexually assault her.

During the attack, the girl's mother was looking for the child. Rojano placed his hand on the child’s mouth so that she does not respond to her mother, according to prosecutors.

The child later complained of pain, and her mother called police when she found injuries consistent with sexual assault.

However, the judge said that the usually minimum sentence of 25 years to life in prison would be “cruel and unusual punishment for a man who was not a predator.”

Judge Kelly agreed that in most circumstances, the mandatory sentence would be appropriate.
However, in this case, “Mr. Rojano did not seek out or stalk the victim. He was playing video games and the girl wandered into the garage. He inexplicably became sexually aroused, but did not appear to consciously intend to harm the victim when he sexually assaulted her,” the judge said.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Bokosky disagrees with the decision and may appeal.

Bokosky pointed to the fact that Rojano continued to sexually assault the girl when her mother was calling out for her.
