(Scroll down for video) A waitress was shocked to learn that she was fired because she dyed her hair blonde, according to a lawsuit filed in Maryland.
The former Hooters employee said that she was discriminated against by a Hooters restaurant, and a jury agreed.
Farryn Johnson was awarded $250,000 for being wrongfully terminated.
Johnson had been working as a waitress in the restaurant for about a year, when she decided that it was time change her appearance.
She added blonde highlights in her hair, but was told by her manager that she could not have that color in her hair. Johnson said that the reason given by hers boss was because blacks do not have blonde hair.
Hooters called the decision flawed, saying that the court refused to listen to their side of the story.
