A group of police officers in Pennsylvania, are in trouble after they planted evidence and stole cash from people.

Now, one police officer pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against his former colleagues.

Former Philadelphia drug squad police officer Jeffrey Walker, 46, admitted in court that he and his colleagues would routinely plant evidence and steal money from people.

Walker pleaded guilty to corruption charges and is now testifying to put other corrupt cops behind bars.

Walker reportedly told the jury that the Philadelphia Police Department’s drug squad targeted “white college boys, the khaki-pants types who were easy to intimidate.”

Walker also said that the officers would search homes of suspected drug dealers without a warrant and pocketed the cash they seized.

These officers allegedly stole hundreds of thousands of dollars. They also routinely planted evidence and lied on the police reports.

Walker said that he and the other cops in their group, were of large size, allowing them to better intimidate suspects.

Walker was eventually ostracized by the group after losing weight, going through a divorce, and developing a drinking problem.

According to Walker, the lead defendant in the case, former Officer Thomas Liciardello, would “always get a cut” of illegal money seized by the groups.

Liciardello sent threatening texts messages to Walker after he suspected that the officer was working with authorities.

“You are a rat. Hope you die,” he wrote in one text message.

Since the group’s tactics have been exposed, more than 160 drug convictions have been overturned and the department has been inundated with civil rights lawsuits.
