An elderly man was shocked to find a long snake crawling in his oven while preparing to cook himself dinner, animal control officers in the United Kingdom said.

The 65-year-old man of Bolton, found the three-foot California king snake in his oven before putting it in a plastic bag.

David Atherton then called animal control officers. Atherton's sister, who is scared of snakes, was taken to a hospital with heart problems after hearing about the snake.

Animal control officers said that snakes can get into really small gaps and get into small places, which is probably why it was found in the oven.

They are not dangerous, but will bite if provoked. If someone sees a snake they should not touch it, and call the Humane Society.

California King Snakes feed on rodents, birds and reptiles.

A woman in England, was given permission to live with her pedophile husband dispite having 2 young daughters.

In order to protect her children from being sexually abused during the night, the mother locks her two young daughters inside their bedroom.

The room is wired with an alarm system so that if the door is opened during the night, the mother would wake up.

The woman of Devon, said that she shares the bed with her husband, who is a convicted child molester.

Social services have approved the plan, even though the man was previously jailed for sexually assaulting a girl under 13 years old.

This decision comes just months after the husband was described as a “permanent risk” to the girls, who are both under the age of 13.

The plan was approved by officials after the mother said that her husband, who is not the children’s father, has to go over her bedside if he wants to leave.

Officials also added that they were happy with the arrangement of the girls having a baby monitor in their bedroom so they can call their mother if they need to be let out to use the bathroom.

The grandmother of the girl has spoken of her concern and fears for the safety of her granddaughters.

“It feels as if my granddaughters are isolated and at risk. Social services do not seem to want to listen to my concerns,” the grandmother said.

“It's heartbreaking, but I have to keep fighting for the sake of the girls,” she added.

The mother was separated from the girls' father, who has now moved to a new part of the country.

She then began a relationship with the pedophile, who is prohibited from having unsupervised contact with children under 16 years.

The mother filed an application to become an “authorized person,” meaning she can supervise contact between her partner and her children.

The couple is married, but the man was not allowed to spend the night in the house until now.

With the recently implemented measures, he was granted permission to live with his wife and her daughters.

Police are also monitoring the situation closely and conduct regular visits at the family’s home.

Police said that a 36-year-old woman of Indiana, is now in custody, suspected of carrying out a twisted plot of killing the young mother to steal her 3-week-old baby and claiming the child as her own.

The suspect, who has not been identified, pretended to be from the child protective services office when she ordered 23-year-old Samantha Fleming to come with her.

Fleming, who recently gave birth to a daughter named Serenity, lived with her boyfriend when she disappeared with her baby.

Fleming was reported missing by her boyfriend. Police followed leads, which led them to the suspect's home, but she was not there.

Investigators said that they smelled a foul odor coming from the suspect’s single family home.

Inside, they found the body of the missing woman. She had been stabbed, covered with bleach, wrapped in plastic and stuffed in a plastic container.

Investigators searched the house when the suspect's sister came in. She had a newborn baby with her and had come to pick up some things.

Police quickly realized that the baby was Serenity. The sister told police that she was asked to care for the baby while the suspect went to Texas to visit family.

The suspect is now in police custody in a hospital in Texas, where she is under the care of mental health professionals.

The child was handed over to police. Lt. Thomas Pawlak said that the suspect's home had been equipped with a nursery.

“It seems that she had been planning this. There was everything you would buy for a new baby. A crib, changing table, diaper bag, carrier and new clothes,” Pawlak said.

A neighbor said that the suspect said she was pregnant before the murder was uncovered.

Police are determined to find out how the suspect had so much personal information about Fleming.

David Etzel was arrested at his mother’s Lake Worth home, where he had been sleeping, deputies said. He denied hurting the dog.

“As a mother I feel terrible that my son, David Etzel, sits in jail charged with animal cruelty. Had he not been drinking, he would never have hurt Cujo as he loved Cujo and Cujo loved him,” Michele Etzel wrote on her Gofundme page, where she hopes to get donations to pay for the surgeries, which cost her $2,300.
