Army colonel rapes mentally ill woman after mother left her home alone

An army colonel was arrested on charges of rape after allegedly raping a mentally ill woman who was left home alone, police in India said.

The suspect, who was serving at the Deolali military camp near Nashik, was arrested on Saturday, for allegedly raping the 22-years-old woman who lives with her mother.

Vinod Sahni, who lives next door to the victim, noticed that her mother had left the premises and there was nobody else in the house.

He broke into the house and forced himself on the woman. When the mother returned home, she realized that her daughter was raped, and she called the police.


Both the colonel and the victim were sent to the Nashik Civil Hospital for medical examinations.

Man stabs girl on train to see if he had what it takes to murder someone

A man was arrested on charges of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a girl on a crowded train because he wanted to see if he had what it takes to kill someone, police in Japan said.

Tokyo Police said that they arrested the 54-year-old unidentified man for stabbing the girl with an ice pick.

According to the police investigation, the incident occurred around 7:00 a.m. on Thursday. The girl was traveling on the Keio line between Kitazawa and Hachimanyama, when the attack occurred.

The 17-year-old girl told police that she was trying to sleep when she felt a sharp pain in her right thigh. She looked up and saw the suspect with the ice pick.

He fled from the train at the Hachimanyama station. The girl suffered a wound that took a week to heal, police said. The suspect of Meguro Ward, checked himself into a hospital in Setagaya, about an hour after the attack.

He possessed two knives and the ice pick used in the stabbing.

During questioning, he told police that he wanted to kill someone, but before he could, he wanted to see if I really had the guts to do so.

Man throws ketchup at restaurant because they ran out of macaroni and cheese

A man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct after throwing ketchup around at a restaurant after being denied macaroni and cheese, police in Pennsylvania said.

Cumberland County Police said that the suspect of New York, was angry when he could not get macaroni and cheese when he stopped at a rest area.

He got even more angry when the same restaurant was out of potatoes. 47-year-old Kevin Nelson was charged with disorderly conduct on Wednesday.

According to the police investigation, Nelson stopped at a Roy Rogers in Hopewell Township. When his macaroni and cheese order was declined, he became angry and agitated before beginning to curse.

Police said that Nelson got coffee from another shop before coming back to Roy Rogers to ask for potatoes. They said that they were out of potatoes.

Nelson allegedly became enraged and began throwing condiments across the counter.

Woman fakes cancer to have late term abortion for free

(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested after she falsely claimed to have cancer to get a free late term abortion.

The woman from Arizona, faked cancer to get medicare to pay $6,000 for her late term abortion.

Chalice Zeitner, 29, is accused of forging a doctor's note, stating that she was diagnosed with terminal sarcoma.

In the doctor's note, she wrote that she was in the second trimester of pregnancy, which is endangering her life.

Medicaid does not pay for abortions unless the mother’s health is at risk.

Zeitner had the abortion done. Her baby was born alive and died 20 minutes later. She then fled to Georgia, with her 10-year-old daughter.

She changed her name and went by the name Al Serkez. Medicaid learned that they had been defrauded after the doctor who allegedly wrote the note, said that he never treated the woman.

She was arrested in Georgia and she will be extradited to Arizona, where she faces charges of theft, fraud, forgery and identity theft.

Her daughter was placed in the custody of a family member.

Woman tied up with plastic bag on her head after responding to Craigslist submissive advertisement

A woman was found bound and gagged in a car after she responded to a Craigslist advertisement.

Police said that a 41-year-old man posted an ad for a submissive woman and used a fake image to lure the young woman to meet him.

The 22-year-old victim agreed to meet the man near his home in Chesaning, Michigan, State Police Lt. David Kaiser said.

The woman got into his car, but she tried to run away when she realized that she had been deceived. However, the man refused to let her go.

“She was assaulted, tied up, gagged and put in the back seat of his car,” Kaiser said.

Officer spotted the car around 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday, weaving in and out of the lane. Police believe that the woman was kicking him from behind, causing him to swerve on the road.

Thinking they had a drunk driver on their hands, officers walked to the window to ask for his license and registration, but soon heard the woman’s muffled screams.

The man had used zip ties to tie the woman’s hands behind her back. He put duct taped on her mouth and pulled a bag over her head, Kaiser said.

The man was arrested on charges of kidnapping and assault by strangulation. The woman refused medical treatment.

State police have not released the suspect’s name, pending arraignment.

Investigators later discovered that the man had used a false name and a throwaway email address on Craigslist.

Fortunately for her, she was not hurt. It would have been a nightmare for police to find the person with whom she communicated over Craigslist, Kaiser said

Detectives seized a laptop from the man in an attempt to see if he victimized any other person.

Man robs Credit Union to bail out girlfriend from jail

A man was arrested after posting bail for his girlfriend who was in jail.

26-year-old Robert Phillip Rivas of Pleasant Grove, Utah, is accused of robbing the Utah Community Credit Union to raise money to bail out his girlfriend from jail.

The woman was behind bars on drug charges.

Rivas and his alleged accomplice Armando Jesse Ambriz, 28, were arrested shortly after the robbery.

A family member of Rivas, told police that he planned to rob a bank to get money to bail out his girlfriend from prison, according to Lt. Britt Smith of the Pleasant Grove Police Department.

Rivas allegedly robbed the Credit Union while he was disguised with fake a beard, wig, orange construction vest and mustache.

Rivas escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, and managed to bail out his girlfriend from jail before he was arrested.

Police obtained a warrant to search his home and found a receipt from a bail bondsman, which was paid after the robbery.

Ambriz and Rivas have been charged with felony robbery and obstruction of justice.

His girlfriend remains free on bail and is not being charged in connection with the robbery.

Snake has surgery after swallowing large pair of barbecue tongs

(Scroll down for video) A snake was taken to a hospital for surgery after eating its food together with the serving utensil.

The owner of the pet python in Australia, rushed the animal to a hospital after it swallowed the serving tongs together with its food.

The snake, named Winston, is recovering after swallowing the pair of barbecue tongs. Its owner, Aaron Rouse, was feeding the animal when Winston ate the tongs.

Rouse called a local veterinarian, who operated on the snake.

X-rays taken of Winston, shows the tongs inside the snake's body, Dr. Oliver Funnell, the veterinarian who removed the object from Winston, said.

Thief rips out earring of little girl’s ear (video)

(Scroll down for video) A man was seen on video stealing earrings from a young girl’s ear.

The terrifying moment of a delivery man ripping a pair of earrings from the ears of a child as she walked by herself in broad daylight, was caught on video.

The incident is said to have occurred on a street in Turkey.

The man, dressed in a blue shirt and dark pants, was riding a motorcycle before he stopped to knock on the door of a home.

approached her. In the video, the girl, who was seen wearing a striped top and red pants, was walking towards the man when the two got into a conversation.

Moments later, the man stepped toward her, causing the child to back away before holding her hands close to her face.

The man then appears to reach for the girl’s ears before pulling hard. He then ran towards his motorcycle and drove off with the child’s earrings.

Shocked, the girl immediately ran away, while the man on the motorcycle sped off.

Woman gives birth in Internet cafe and continues playing video games

A woman who loves to play video games, is making headlines after giving birth at an Internet cafe.

The woman of Jiangxi, China, gave birth in the toilet of the Internet cafe and returned to her computer.

Workers at the Internet cafe in Nanchang, went to the bathroom after hearing a baby crying. They saw a pool of blood near the door.

Workers were concerned about the baby, but soon learned that the mother, who had just given birth, was in the bathroom cradling a newborn.

The baby's umbilical cord was still attached to the mother.

Workers rushed to the phone to call an ambulance, but the new mother was relaxed about the whole ordeal. While waiting for the ambulance to take her to the hospital, she returned to her computer to continue playing games.

When the paramedics arrived, she refused to get on the gurney and walked to the ambulance herself.

The 24-year-old mother is now recovering in the hospital with her baby.

2 female correctional officers caught on video stealing from 7-Eleven store

(Scroll down for video) Two correctional officers who watch over criminals in prison, were arrested on charges of theft after allegedly being caught stealing from a closed 7-Eleven store, police in Maryland said.

Now, the two correctional officers have been suspended without pay after being charged with theft and burglary in connection with looting that occurred during riots in Baltimore.

Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services officers and detectives from the Intelligence and Investigative Division, reviewed video footage that allegedly showed looting from the 7-Eleven store in the 300 block of West Baltimore Street.

The video shows two women later identified as Tamika Cobb and Kendra Richard, leaving the store with merchandise. Both women had been assigned to a downtown Baltimore Division of Correction facility.

Both women were booked into jail at Central Booking, and bail was set at $35,000 each.

2 pet tortoises burn down their owners’ home while being left alone

The proud owners of two pet tortoises are devastated after they tipped over a heat lamp, which caused their expensive home to go up in flames, firefighters in the United Kingdom said.

Dinky and Toby set fire to the house while their owners were outside of the home, leaving them behind alone.

The two pets were rescued by firefighters, who were wearing breathing masks for protection from the smoke. The incident unfolded in the house in Fordingbridge, Hants.

The unidentified owners of the animals said that they have Toby for 65 years and Dinky for the past 25 years. The homeowners are struggling to convince their insurance company that the fire was actually started by their pets.

The cost to fix and repair the damaged home is estimated to be very high. Firefighters came back the following day to see if the tortoises were doing well.

Boy spits in mother’s face 3 times before spitting at police officer and threatening to slit his throat

An out of control boy was arrested on charges of assault after allegedly spitting in his mother’s face and threatening to kill a police officer, police in Canada said.

Brantford Police said that the 17-year-old boy spat in his mother’s face three times during an argument.

He faces several charges after making death threats and uttering racist remarks to police officers. The teenager was charged with mischief of less than $5,000 and assault.

He was also charged with assault with intent to resist arrest, assaulting a peace officer, uttering threats and two counts of violation of probation.

He is being held in custody for a bail hearing.

Police said that they received a call around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, from concerned neighbors who heard the dispute between the mother and her child.

Police said that the youth spat on his mother at least three times and damaged a wall of her house by kicking it. When approached by the police, the young man ran and a short foot chase ensued.

An officer wrestled the youth to the ground to handcuff him. The young man resisted arrest, spat at an officer and threatened to buy a gun and kill another officer.

He also threatened to cut the throat of an officer, once he is released from custody. Several officers were needed to place the accused in a police cruiser, where the aggression continued.

The boy kicked the door of the vehicle in an attempt to break free.

When they arrived at the police station, the young man refused to leave the car and repeatedly shouted racial slurs at the officers.

13-year-old boy smashes up his home with hammer after father took away his PlayStation

A boy was arrested on charges of mischief after allegedly smashing up his home with a hammer because his father took away his PlayStation, police in Canada said.

Brantford Police said that they have arrested the 13-year-old boy after he went on a rampage with a hammer and a baseball bat at his home on Saturday night.

He is accused of mischief under $5,000 and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He is being held in custody for a bail hearing.

Police said that the boy's father called them around 7:30 p.m., to report that his son was out of control. He was locked out of the house by his parents, who feared for their safety.

The boy tried to regain entry to the house by smashing the doors and locks. Officers who arrived at the scene, arrested the boy without incident.

According to the police investigation, the boy argued with his parents and sibling about using a PlayStation 4 gaming system. When the father decided to take it away as punishment, the boy became angry and used a baseball bat to break property.

Teen kills his best friend by punching him in the stomach during fight over chair

A teen was arrested on charges of murder after allegedly killing his best friend during a fight over a chair, police in Nigeria said.

Lagos State Police said that they have arrested 19-year-old Toluchukwu Anosike, for killing his friend, 15-year-old Nonso Monyasa.

The incident unfolded on Sunday, as the two were fighting over a chair at their workplace.

Anosike told police that he regretted his actions, saying that he never thought his friend was going to die from a punch in the stomach.

After the fight, Monyasa complained of stomach pains, and his boss, identified as Ejike, took him home, where the situation worsened.

Monyasa was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Monyasa died from internal bleeding.
