A woman was arrested after she was seen running after a young boy with a knife.
The woman ran after the fifth grader around a parking lot with a knife after he and her daughter got into an argument in a playground, police in Florida said.
Boca Raton police arrested the mother, who was identified as 27-year-old Shakella Quinn.
It all started after Quinn's daughter, whose age was not disclosed, and the 11-year-old boy had an argument, and Quinn's daughter complained to her, according to the arrest report.
A group of boys who witnessed the woman running after the child, told police that Quinn came out of her apartment with the knife in her hand and started chasing the boy.
Soon, a crowd of about 50 people gathered, police said.
Another adult intervened and told Quinn to stop. She then told the boy to go inside her apartment, while she called police.
The boy was not cooperating and he refused to talk to police.
Quinn told police that she went outside to shout at the boy for fighting with her daughter, but denied threatening him with a knife.
When officers tried to handcuff the mother, she allegedly started kicking and screaming.
Quinn was charged with aggravated assault and obstruction of an officer without violence. Her bail was set at $25,000.
