A teenager was found guilty of having sex with her fans.

The now 17-year-old former member of a Japanese girl band known as “idol group,” was found guilty of breaching a no dating clause in her contract.

A Tokyo District Court judge ordered the teen and her parents to pay 650,000 yen ($5,400) in damages to the management company.

“The clause prohibiting dating was necessary to get the support of fans,” said Judge Akitomo Kojima in his ruling.

“Idols” are intended to be role models. They are supposed to have a good public image and be good examples to young people.

The contracts that prohibit romantic engagements are standard for members of idol groups in the country, but this is the first time a management company has successfully sued for damages.

The group of six female members signed the contract in 2013. After reports emerged that one of the members, who was 15 years old at the time, went to a hotel with two male fans, the group disbanded.

Despite being marketed as sex symbols by dressing provocatively, the girls are expected to maintain an aura of innocence and purity.
