Chattanooga police said that they have arrested 26-year-old Ferris Witcher, after being accused of trying to kill 53-year-old Nathan Pearson, following a dispute over money.

Witcher was charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, theft and reckless endangerment.

He was booked into the Hamilton County Jail, and his bail was set at $150,000.

According to the police investigation, around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, Pearson offered Witcher a ride home from KFC. Once they reached their destination on Hancock Road, Witcher asked Pearson for money.

A fight broke out, and Pearson was stabbed multiple times in the face, neck, and chest.

Pearson escaped from the car and called the police while Witcher fled with the victim’s Chevrolet pickup.
